The American
Red Cross is a humanitarian organization led by volunteers which provides
relief to victims of disaster and helps people prevent, prepare for, and
respond to emergencies. Our programs include: Disaster Relief
Services -- offering wide-ranging support to victims of disaster;
Services to
Armed Forces -- providing emergency communications for our brave
military men and women and their families in times of crisis, volunteers
that work everyday on Barksdale Air Force Base, and other services and Health and Safety
Services -- teaching essential life-saving skills through CPR and
First Aid, providing training for young lifesavers like Lifeguards and
Babysitters and offering proactive health screenings and vaccinations through
our Health Fairs and Flu and Pneumonia Vaccination Clinics. All of these programs
are possible only through the generosity of you! The Northwest Louisiana
Chapter of the American Red Cross does not receive governement money and
relies on the public's generosity. If you have any questions, or would like
more information about any of these programs, feel free to contact us. Shelters Opening Now for Gustav Evacuees. Calling All Volunteers! Visit
